e-waste is everywhere

So, where do I begin with the absurdity of e-waste recycling? It’s like we’ve all decided that it’s perfectly reasonable to hoard mountains of old electronics, waiting for someone to magically transform them into cash. Trash into treasure, they say. More like tech junk into slight less junky junk.

What are we doing with all these outdated gadgets? I mean, sure, you can resell the parts or metals, but who really has time to sort through tangled towers of obsolete mobile phones, mystery cables, and other electronic relics from the early 2000s? It’s a digital graveyard in our homes.

It’s almost as if we’ve become e-hoarders, too attached to the memories in our busted Techmarvel 3000 wristwatches to recycle them properly. Convenience meets laziness, and we end up with piles of potential toxins. But hey, at least we’re contributing to the green economy by sitting on a throne of silicon garbage, right?

It’s laughable how we think this is sustainable. It’s just another excuse to not deal with our consumer-driven mania head-on. And don’t even get me started on those who think making a quick buck off the back of this mess is the solution. Sure, destroy the planet and put on your environmental hero cape while you’re at it. The so-called green economy should be more like a swamp we’re barely surviving in.
