it’s 2025 and dropshipping is still a thing?
I just stumbled upon yet another post about Shopify dropshipping, and I have to wonder—is this 2025 or some weird time loop? People are still chasing the magical unicorn of passive income through online businesses. I mean, wasn’t this all the rage like five years ago? Guess some things never change.

So, I’m sitting at my desk (which is basically drowning in empty coffee cups and half-read books) trying to wrap my head around this. The idea is that you sell products on Shopify without ever touching them. You list items, someone buys, you forward the order to your supplier, and voila—money appears in your account. Easy, right? Except when suppliers decide to ghost you or send a product that looks nothing like the pictures. Classic.
And can we talk about the hustle? People are managing like a thousand different products while constantly dealing with stuff like customer support, inventory that doesn’t exist, and crazy marketing strategies. I mean, sure, some folks hit it big and buy a Lambo. But for the rest, it’s just a hamster wheel with a prettier view.

There’s always some buzzwordy strategy that pops up. Like in 2025, it’s all about using AI-powered price optimizers (yeah, right) to squeeze out every last cent. Meanwhile, none of these gurus mention that dealing with returns on mismatched pairs of socks or fake Gucci belts can drive you mad.
Apparently, now everyone is also obsessed with finding the ‘perfect niche’—some obscure product combination that apparently no one has discovered yet. Good luck with that. But maybe there’s an undiscovered market for selling inflatable unicorn pools in December? Who knows.
Honestly, I don’t know about this whole thing. My brain hurts just thinking about it. Feels like people are so caught up in the passive income dream that they forget about the reality of actually having to work. My eyes still hurt. I need coffee. Ugh.
