sunset lamps are overrated
Why is everyone freaking out about these sunset lamps? Oh look, fake sunlight you plug into the wall because natural light isn’t hipster enough anymore. It’s like paying for a knock-off Van Gogh painting and acting like you’ve got real art on your hands. But hey, I guess we all need something to point and click for Instagram likes, because if it doesn’t plaster well on social media, it might as well not even exist.
Seriously though, the aesthetic this thing creates is basically what you’d get if you just colored over the walls with an orange highlighter. Maybe I’m too old. Or maybe people have stopped noticing the actual sun literally does the same thing for free, except now you shell out extra bucks because someone on TikTok made it look epic. Oh please.
Not to mention the cheap build – it’s one faulty wire away from being a glorified paperweight. But go ahead, set up your trance-induced meditation cave or whatever you want to call it, and pretend you didn’t just pay an arm and a leg for a bulb in a flimsy plastic shell. At least the glow goes great with nostalgia filters though, right? If this sounds painfully accurate, you might want to check out how others are dropping cash on stuff just like this.
Whatever.
