ugh, e-waste recycling again

So, here’s the thing. E-waste recycling is supposedly part of this ‘green economy,’ right? Trash to cash and all that jazz. But let’s be real, it’s mostly just glorified dumpster diving with a sprinkle of hipster DIY attitude tossed in for good measure. I mean, who has the time to tear apart an old computer for some bits of metal? Isn’t my time worth more than that? Apparently not.

And there’s the talk about ‘saving the planet,’ but guess what—most of it doesn’t even get recycled properly. It’s just another excuse to pretend we’re doing something great while those electronics rot away in some third-world landfill. But hey, at least we can feel good about ourselves when we recycle that ancient Nokia brick that’s been gathering dust since 2003. More like ‘Trash to delusion,’ if you ask me.

Then, there’s this ridiculous myth that you can actually make money from it. Like, please, after spending hours painstakingly pulling apart an old TV, you might make enough to buy yourself a cup of underwhelming gas station coffee. You might as well read this while you’re at it because there’s not much else going on in that line of work other than pretending you’re a modern-day garbage prospector.

I’m done.
